The Tsugami SS26 Opposed Gang Tool CNC Lathe is a rugged performer capable of taking on deep cuts while maintaining simultaneous machining on the main and sub spindle. Tsugami's unique Modular Tool Zone is a key comonent of the SS series of Swiss Type Lathes and allows easy replacement of rotary tools, indexed tool holders and turning tool holders. The result? Faster set-up and changeover times, greater flecibility in scheduling long and short part runs.
The SS26 Lathe's ability to use the main and sub spindle independently and simultaneously dramatically cuts cycle time as well. Overall, tool modularity, rugged construction and simultaneous machining capability transform the exceptional Swiss turn into a multi-faceted machine tool for long and short run small parts.
Key Advantages Include:
The Tsugami SS26 CNC Lathe is CONVERTIBLE and may be run as a traditional sliding headstock Swiss Type Lathe using the guide bushing or run without the guide bushing with the addition of an optional "chucker kit". When run as a "chucker" the lathe can use drawn bar stock instead of centerless ground stock, dramatically reducing remnant size and increasing shop flexibility.
